Yesterday Qatar Airways announced that Portugal are to be one of the four participants in the inaugural Qatar Airways International Tournament.

The tournament will be held in Doha, Qatar and will feature 4 teams, all of which appear in the Top 12 in the world. Portugal will be joined by World Cup runners-up Croatia, Belgium and recent Nations League opponents Switzerland.
The tournament will last just 4 days with each side playing two matches each. Croatia will face Switzerland on March 26th and the following day the Seleção will face Belgium. On March 30th, Portugal face Croatia and Belgium will take on Switzerland.
The tournament will give Santos an opportunity to compete against some high quality sides and will give a good barometer of where the squad is at, 3 months before the UEFA European Championships begin. More games prior to the tournament means more time for those new additions to the squad to gel and more time for the squad to integrate and work with Santos. While the tournament is not classed as an honour, Portugal will be hoping to give a good performance in both games and build confidence before they defend their European crown.
