FreeSports announce increase in televised Liga NOS fixtures!

FreeSports, the sister channel of sports heavyweight PremierSports announced an increase in broadcasted Liga NOS fixtures in the UK.

The channel, which is available to those in the UK free of charge will be showing THREE fixtures from each Jornada/Round of fixtures!

The channel will be showing the second match of Primeira Liga’s return as Famalicão taken on leaders FC Porto at 9:10. The channel has announced that in the first 15 days of the Liga’s return, they will be showing 9 matches. Full list of fixtures below.

Whilst their is still a broadcasting bias towards Os Tres Grandes (every game features either Porto, Sporting or Benfica), a UK audience can watch those lesser known sides in action when they face off against 1 of the Big Three. Sides like Famalicão, Vitória SC and the rejuvenated Rio Ave are just some of the sides in action on FreeSports over the next few weeks. More broadcasting means more international viewership and with the launch of the PremierPlayer, people within the UK will now be able to watch the games on-the-move.

As a website based in the UK, Próxima Jornada understands all too well about how difficult it can be to get access to televised Primeira Liga games and this announcement has brought joy to not just us, but to those across the United Kingdom who share a connection to the Primeira Liga.
