TuttoSport yesterday cut their 100 man shortlist for the Golden Boy 2020 award down to 60 players.

The award was first launched in 2003 by the Italian TuttoSport, the winner of the inaugural prize was Rafael Van Der Vaart. Several newspapers across Europe participate in the voting, with ABola being Portugal’s representative.
Portugal has experienced glory in this award before, just last year the winner was João Félix after his breakthrough season at SL Benfica and subsequent move to Atlético de Madrid. Whilst no Portuguese player is favourite to take home the award, it is great to see eight Portuguese players remain up for the prize after the list was cut down by 40 players.

Below are the Portuguese nominees for the 2020 TuttoSport Golden Boy award
Fábio Silva – FC Porto (POR)
Gonçalo Ramos – SL Benfica (POR)
Pedro Neto – Wolverhampton Wanderers (ENG)
Eduardo Quaresma – Sporting CP (POR)
Rafael Camacho – Sporting CP (POR)
Tómas Tavares – SL Benfica (POR)
Tómas Esteves – FC Porto (POR)
Vitór Ferreira – FC Porto (POR)
