
Rui Jorge today announced his 23 man squad for the upcoming UEFA European Championships. This particular edition of the tournament is unique in that it will be played in two parts, the first being the group stages (24th to 31st March) followed by the knockout rounds of the competition (31 May to 6th June).
Portugal go into this Euros as one of the favourites and rightly so. This age group, dubbed the second Portuguese golden generation, features talent all across the field, many of whom are plying their trade for top clubs across Europe.
Portugal take their place in Group D and their group stages fixtures are as follows:
Portugal v Croatia – 25th March
Portugal v England – 28th March
Switzerland v Portugal – 31st March
